Welcome message

It is with great joy that we welcome the Latin American pharmacovigilance community to Brazil for the ISoP Latin America Symposium!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Brazil, a country rich in natural beauty, cultures, traditions, and stories. A country of many voices, ready to embrace the different experiences and perspectives each of you brings to this gathering.

Our theme, “Connecting Minds, Shaping Patient Safety for All,” reflects a belief that unites us: when we share what we know and open ourselves to learning, we strengthen our ability to care for others.

Behind every piece of information we analyze, every signal we investigate, and every decision we make, there is a person. There is a family. There is someone trusting that a treatment will improve their life. These are the people we are here for. And they are the reason we must keep moving forward together.

Across Latin America, we face different realities and challenges, and we find different ways to solve problems. We do not always have the same resources or follow the same paths. But we all have something to teach and much to learn. An experience shared here may become a solution in another country. A conversation may spark a partnership. And a connection between us may make a difference in the life of someone we may never meet.

That possibility is what makes this gathering so meaningful.

We want to create a space where people feel comfortable asking questions, contributing, and being heard. A place where we can discuss our achievements, as well as our difficulties and the questions we are still working to answer.

And may the words “for all” guide every discussion. May they remind us to consider those with limited access, those facing greater barriers, and those whose voices still need to be heard. Our commitment to patient safety must embrace the full diversity of the people we serve.

I deeply believe in the strength of Latin America. In our knowledge, our creativity, and our ability to build together. We have so much to offer the world, and strengthening the connections between our countries can help that potential reach further.

With this purpose in mind, we look forward to welcoming you to Brazil. Bring your experience, your questions, and your willingness to contribute. May we leave this gathering with new knowledge, new friendships, and the confidence that we can count on one another as we move forward.

Welcome to Brazil. May the connections that begin here lead to better care, greater trust, and safer lives.

Together, we are stronger. And what we build together can reach far beyond us.

Connecting Minds, Shaping Patient Safety for All.
